INTEGRATING MISSIONS EDUCATION INTO CHILDREN’S CHURCH AND SUNDAY SCHOOL by Pete Hohmann
An introductory article with practicle steps on the subject of Children’s Mission Education.

MISSION EDUCATION—WHERE TO BEGIN? by Nancy Tichy
Just where do you find the seed thoughts for missions education in church or Christian school? They’re usually planted in the heart of an adult who wants to enlist kids for God’s global cause. Check out some ideas that even a beginner can use to chart a course designed to take kids from self-absorption to participation in God’s Kingdom business. (Read more)

SWEETER THAN HONEY by Nancy Tichy
Checking out a “99 Cent Store” was one of my husband’s favorite pastimes—aljost a hobby. One day he came home to show me his bargains and displayed a jar of honey. Imagine his chagrin when he read the fine print and discovered that one of the ingredients listed on the label was water. It wasn’t pure honey. We who care that children find and fulfill God’s awesome destinies for their lives, sometimes discover that we are dispensing diluted honey. I don’t mean to disparage any effort to engage young lives in God’s global purposes. Increasingly, effective and creative strategies are being deployed. I simply want to challenge us to think carefully about our efforts and to make sure we are giving kids “pure” ingredients.

HOME GROWN WORLD CHRISTIANS by Noel Piper
The world came early into my life. On rainy days, Mother let us dig through attic baskets filled with mementos of her college summer in Mexico. My parents' table and guest bed were open to visitors from many places. Our mailbox saw many exotic stamps. On the back wall of our "vacation" church was a huge world map. A cousin went to Indonesia. Daddy told us stories of his days as doctor on a Navy tanker, docking off Saudi Arabia, Burma, Japan and other ports of call. (Read more)

KIDS WITH POWER by Ellen Livingood (catalystservices.org)
"Are we aborting the next generation of Western missionaries by failing to challenge children to consider cross-cultural service? Have we spurned many of our jost potentially powerful prayer partners because, like the disciples, we have dismissed the importance of children?"
