HIGHWAY PARTNERSHIP: REFUGEE MINISTRY BEST PRACTICES by the
World Evangelical Alliance
The Code of Best Practices for Christian Refugee Ministry is designed as a benchmark
document to guide the policies and practice of organizations regarding Christian
humanitarian service and witness to refugees, internally displaced people and
asylum seekers. It is not intended to establish legal standards or liability.
Rather the motivation for the development of this code is based upon the responsibility
towards all participants and partners in refugee programs, that they are served
with the highest standards possible. (Read more )
SEVEN
BIBLE PRINCIPLES FOR THE CARE AND NURTURE OF REFUGEES by Exodus World
Service
When we stand before our Lord on the day of judgment, He'll ask us how we
treated people who graphically fit the description of a refugee. Strangers, the
hungry and thirsty, those in need of clothes, those who are in prison, and those
who are sick - each characteristic strikingly parallel to a twentieth century
refugee.
WHO
MOVED MY CHURCH? by Oliver R. Phillips
In a recent book, Who Moved My Cheese?,
Spencer Johnson used a simplistic parable to demonstrate the various ways in which
human beings can react to sudden and unexpected change. The theme of this 96-page
book is that people see change either as a curse or a blessing. (Read

LIVING
IN THE INNER CITY by Randy White
I can remember the feeling today, though it is now twenty-five years later. Being
hurled across a cement plain, the centrifugal forces straining my neck, coming
perilously close to the people standing at the gate - so close I could almost
kiss them. But the ride known as 'The Scrambler" would snatch me away
with a jolt of acceleration, drag me through the pungent fragrance of Hot Links
cooking nearby, and in seconds push me up against another face at another fence
on another side. (Read
