DOING
MEMBER CARE WELL by Kelly O’Donnell
“This book delivers what it promises! Here are 50 chapters from the widest selection
of writers in the member care field to date... [that] take member care beyond
its usual boundaries.” -- Brent Lindquist, President, Link Care Center
THE
REENTRY TEAM by Neal Pirolo
Pirolo says churches are largely unaware of the complex issues of reentry. He
wants the reader to hear the bad and the good, to understand the feelings and
thoughts of returning missionaries, to grapple with the issues, and to relate
that understanding to their own missionaries. “Ultimately, I want to see the Church
educated in the Biblical model of reentry care so simply stated in the Book of
Acts.” (Intro)

excerpts from David Mays’ Book Notes)
BURN
UP OR SPLASH DOWN: SURVIVING THE CULTURE SHOCK OF RE-ENTRY by
Marion Nell
This book explains what happens and how to deal with the struggles of returning
from the field. One whole section is especially written to help young people survive
and thrive. And the last shorter section provides guidance for the church receiving
missionaries coming back home. (Read
excerpts from David Mays' Book Notes)

MISSIONARY RESOURCES CONNECTION
Missionary Resources Connection began in response to a perceived need for missionary care in the Columbia, South Carolina area. In March 2000, several individuals with a shared vision for providing member care services began to meet informally for prayer and discussion. They identified several potential avenues of care for missionaries and their families that would address the high rate of preventable attrition that has been a concern in missions circles for many years.
