HOW TO FOMENT A CITY-WIDE MISSION MOVEMENT: LESSONS FROM SINGAPORE by Michael Jaffarian
(Note: For the more extensive and original article from Global Missiology, April 2004, click here)
I believe in the value of city-wide or regional mission centers. If the question is, “How can we foment a vital city-wide or regional missions movement?,” the short answer is, “Organize and develop an effective city-wide or regional cooperative missions center”. (Read more)
BUILDING A STRONG WEB OF RELATIONSHIPS by David Mays
A spider’s web is an amazing natural phenomenon. In order to construct a web, the spider releases its silk and waits for the wind to blow it to a firm place where it sticks, providing the web’s foundation. Slowly and methodically the spider constructs an intricate web that is both incredibly light and amazingly strong. Its tensile strength (the amount of longitudinal stress that a substance can tolerate without being torn apart) can be five times that of steel. By connecting independent, disconnected points with its silk, a spider creates a net that provides food. (Read more)

A SURVEY OF KINGDOM COLLABORATION by Phill Butler
It's said that all cultures have both idealized and realized values. These values represent the way things ought to be and the way they really are. The distance between what we dream about, hope for, and expect – and the way things really are can create tension, disappointment, sometimes disillusionment, and, occasionally rebellion. Near the top of the list of Christian idealized values is the vision Jesus gives His followers in John 17:21-23 – “That they may all be one as you and I are one, so that the world may know that you have sent me....” Psalm 133 suggests that God’s power and refreshment are found as His people live and work in unity. MOBILIZATION: THE KEY TO WORLD EVANGELIZATION by Steve Shadrach
Mobilizers are those who channel key resources, training and vision for world evangelization to the Body of Christ. It has been said, that to improperly appreciate and support the role of the mobilizer is to seriously hinder the functions of the goer, sender, and welcomer." (Read more)
BEING A MISSIONS MOBILIZER by George Verwer

A WORD FOR MISSIONS SPEAKERS by George Verwer
Many of us who are in this ministry are taking meetings in which we share the vision and give a clear challenge to pray, give and go. I have taken about 250 meetings this year and have seen the Lord move in those meetings. (Read more)
LET'S PARTNER WITH NETWORKS by Ellen Livingood
Early missions networks brought together field workers from various organizations working in a country or region. While some of these field-based networks have come and gone, a number continue to flourish. Most now include nationals; a few are entirely or almost entirely directed by nationals. Some have grown to include churches in sending countries, but most primarily connect those residing on site. (Read more)
THE CREDIBILITY FACTOR by Francis Frangipane (added 3.30.08)
Knowing Christ has called for unity in His church, many leaders today are re-examining the legitimacy of division in the church. Today's heroes are not isolating themselves from other churches; rather, they are working with others to repair the breaches, seeking to build the citywide church on the foundation of Christ alone. Yet, our traditions of division have taken on the garments of orthodoxy; they appear biblical, but they are not. The various divisions in the history of the church were stages in restoration meant to preserve truth, not isolate it.
