Why Go Connect? To the extent that most North American churches are largely underexposed to missions vision, they remain "untapped reservoirs" of Great Commission potential. And though this absence of vision has long been with us, accelerating developments−born from decades of prayer and toil−offer significant promise of better days ahead! Filling the Gap: Citywide Mobilization & Networking Ministries Since the 80's, through the vigilent efforts of ACMC, the US Center for World Mission, The Perspectives Study Program, Caleb Project and others, a number of US cities have seen mission mobilizers rise up to serve the Body of Christ by providing Missions Roundtables, Concerts of Prayer, Perspectives classes, Citywide Missions Events and Missions Resource Centers. A number of these mobilization/networking efforts have been quite successful. Churches have been awakened and equipped in growing numbers, and the services of these ministries today stand as models for others to learn from and to be encouraged by. Go Connect's Vision Recognizing citywide networking as a powerful grass-roots mobilization strategy with the potential for reaching and staying connected with churches and campus ministries across North America, Go Connect exists to: 1) work in synergistic relationship with the greater mission mobilization movement, 2) cast vision and call forth intercessors to pray strategically for their cities and for the greater missions movement, 3) offer various services to citywide mobilizer/networkers, 4) cast vision and offer services for the birthing of new networks, and 5) provide missions information and inspiration to any member of the Body of Christ wanting to grow in their World Christian Discipleship.
