African Friends and Money Matters: Observations
from Africa

the very different goals of African and Western economic systems and then
presents ninety observations of African behaviors related to money matters.
Explanatory comments are given that show how each one works out in real life.
He illustrates his and others' experiences with anecdotes from across the
continent. Drawings by two African artists add further clarity to the text
as they capture Africans and Westerners in authentic situations. The result
is that the reader is able to make sense of customs that at first seem incomprehensible."

Upcoming Perspectives Coordinator Workshops

The Perspectives on the World Christian Movement course has made huge
steps forward this past year with their new and increasingly robust web site,
a monthly newsletter, a meticulous effort to update and upgrade the Perspectives
Reader (to be completed before fall classes) and a national
gathering of coordinators, task force members and instructors. If you're
a Perspectives' alumnus, there's no better time to attend a coordinator training workshop to either help
start a class where one doesn't exist, or join a team currently pulling together
an upcoming class!
