Who’s a Better Missionary? The House Church Touching
Neighborhoods Globally
by Ted Esler (esler.org)
"Church planters who have experience ministering in smaller settings
and understand the dynamics of how the Holy Spirit leads in these contexts
are equipped to reproduce this model worldwide. Those within the missions
community have long known that entrepreneurs with humble expectations are
oftentimes the workers who make things happen over the long haul."

Declare His Glory Among the Nations
by
John Piper (desiringgod.org)
"In this final message in the series "Psalms: Thinking and
Feeling With God," I want to strike two notes: singing and nations—music
and missions—for the glory of God. These are what stand out to me from
Psalm 96. How shall we think and feel with God about nations and about singing,
and how are they related in this psalm and in the age to come? And how are
they related to Jesus?" (Please note that you also have the option of
watching or listening to this message)

Fruitful Practices
by Don Allen (missionfrontiers.org)
"Recently, a new generation of worker-observers has discovered an
encouraging alternative. As they examine common practices among colleagues
living in the Muslim world, certain patterns emerge in places where Jesus-centered
communities do blossom. So as we labor to make disciples, there may be some
patterns which are more effective than others. We call them “Fruitful
Practices” because they are principles and activities which have resulted
in such communities. Imagine the potential for new fruitfulness around you,
if you knew that some practices were more helpful than others!"

Prayer Society Revolutionizes Congregation
Interview with pastor David Hoffman (prayingpastor.com)
Our Prayer Society was started as a way to challenge Christians to pray
... Within the first two years of our Prayer Society the church doubled and
our facility was too small; after three years we reached our goal of ministering
to 1000 children and youth a week. People began to purchase my sermon c.d.’s
at a rate we had never seen before. In all areas of ministry the measurable
results were astounding.

Short-Term Ministry Ideas
from
Interchange Postings by Ellen Livingood (catalystservices.org)
"How could individuals or a team on a short-term ministry trip from
a local church make the greatest contribution to the work of field partners?
Doubtless hundreds, maybe thousands, of creative ministries have been tried
over the years. Perhaps one of the possibilities noted here may be a new avenue
of service your short-termers can use to further Kingdom goals."
